Mark OrbellMark views his work as having no distinction between the abstract and figurative as the only reality lies in the mark or brushstroke. However as an artist he finds the material comes from two different sources. Marks abstract work is process driven, with little premeditation. The figurative work might come from a memory, media or imagination.
Mark dosen’t try to make sense of the world. By painting he might analyse a subject or situation and rationalise something that may have remained hidden.
